SHERPA Global named to fifth annual Bulldog 100: Fastest Growing Bulldog Businesses

  January 31st, 2014

ATLANTA, Ga.– SHERPA Global, based in Atlanta, was recognized as the No. 96 fastest growing business owned or operated by a University of Georgia graduate during the 2014 Bulldog 100 Celebration on January 25 at the Marriott Marquis in downtown Atlanta.

SHERPA, founded by David Felfoldi, UGA bachelor’s of science alumnus (01C), specializes in brand & digital strategy, custom web design & development, digital marketing, and web hosting & support services.

“We are honored to make the Bulldog 100 for the second consecutive year. Our consistent growth is a direct result of clients reinvesting in us to continue improving their digital marketing efforts,” Felfoldi, Chief Experience Officer, said.

The Bulldog 100, coordinated by the University of Georgia Alumni Association, recognizes the 100 fastest growing businesses owned or operated by UGA alumni. The 2014 Bulldog 100 Celebration recognized the 100 businesses and 139 alumni who lead those companies on January 25 at the Marriott Marquis in downtown Atlanta. The class included companies of all sizes, providing services and products in a variety of industries, including advertising, staffing, real estate, pest control and mixed martial arts. Companies as far west as Texas and Kansas, and as far northeast as New Jersey, made the list this year.

Nominations for the 2014 Bulldog 100 were accepted between January and May 2013. More than 800 nominations were received for the 2014 Bulldog 100.  To be considered for the list, each organization must have been in business for at least five years, experienced revenues in excess of $100,000 for the calendar year 2010, and be owned or operated by a former UGA student who owns at least 50 percent of the company or be the CEO, president or managing partner. The Bulldog 100 recognizes the fastest growing businesses regardless of size by focusing on a three-year compounded annual growth rate. This year’s class reported an average 48% growth rate.

“The UGA Alumni Association is pleased to have hosted another successful Bulldog 100 Celebration as the program celebrates its fifth year recognizing top alumni business leaders,” UGA Executive Director of Alumni Relations Deborah Dietzler said. “This is always a well-attended event and the competition to make the Bulldog 100 list each year continues to grow.”
