Out of hundreds of agencies worldwide, only 18 other agencies in addition to Sherpa! Web Studios were recognized as Outstanding Website Developer for winning six or more WebAwards in 2012.
Among its 2012 WebAwards, Sherpa! won awards for Outstanding Website in Home Building Industry for Rinnai: Tankless Water Heaters and Outstanding Website in the B2B Industry for Tellworks: Asset Recovery. Sherpa! also took up Standard of Excellence awards for a wide range of industries — both B2B and B2C — indicating the versatility of their capabilities and depth of knowledge of client industries.
“Winning the ‘Outstanding Website Developer’ award validates what I’ve always known about the world-class team of talent here at Sherpa!” said David Felfoldi, Sherpa! Chief Experience Officer. “Effective, successful websites are not created in a vacuum; it takes an entire team to draft persuasive content, create a visually attractive design, architect an easy-to-use website, and program a user-friendly web application. Like an iPhone, a lot goes into making something this complex appear so simple.”
The WMA’s mission is to foster a higher standard of excellence for website development and marketing. The competition was judged by a team of independent Internet professionals representing a variety of relevant disciplines of website development. Judges included members of the media, advertising executives, site designers, creative directors, corporate marketing executives, content providers, and webmasters.
"Each year the WebAwards receives amazing entries from around the world that show impressive creativity and functionality," said William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association. "Winning a WebAward is a great way to demonstrate the effectiveness of your web development efforts. We congratulate all of our winners for developing websites that deliver for their audiences."
For this year’s competition, more than 2,000 websites from 42 countries were adjudicated in 96 industry categories. Websites were judged on design, copywriting, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of technology.
